Song for Friday...if only...

If only I had the voice of an angel!
Luckily EmmyLou Harris does.
No one can sing a sad Townes VanZandt song like her.
This song takes me back to long, dark nights in the country,
sipping wine with an old, dear friend who's gone now.
She was Emmy Lou's biggest fans.
This ones for you Jay.
Something to roll you gently into the weekend...
have a great one, all.

Spectacular song, Emmy Lou is one of the best.

Thanks for the memories, we all have them!

Blessings.

What a treat, this still-early morning. Emmy Lou so very young. She and the song both favorites of mine, too. A fine tribute.

If you don't know of it, there is a documentary on Townes Van Zandt called "Be Here to Love Me." As befits him and his life, it is not exactly upbeat but worth seeing.
