a mouse in the house...

This little mouse is welcome in the house...
Jeremy came honestly onto this spot on the books.
He worked his way into my dreams and I in turn worked
the wool into what is now himself.
No wicked cat flipping him into the air like a toy, dragging him under the bed
and staring him down.
No, Jeremy is calm in his woolen work socks...
Ready for the cold winter nights ahead.
At home on the window sill as well...
Who knows where his journey will take him?

I am once again a'swoon. Jeremy is too wonderful. I would spend all my pennies with you, were there not things like groceries, electricity, gasoline and the like. He could be very happy here...and no cat. xo

Oh Jeremy, thou art a lovely and handsome creature.
I would read a book with you anytime... and protect you from the cat.

Jeremy is lovely. I've been scrolling down through your blog looking for signs of your sister whom I understand from your most recent post has died.

Your posts are so lovely and evocative, that glorious mix of the past and present that I so enjoy. By the way, I'm here from Australia through Marylinn's blog.
