Song for Friday...New music for you!

Thought I'd post this great young lad with the sweet voice for you.
He's been around for a few years and a regular on the CBC radio.
In fact I just learned that he has 10 albums under his belt.
Some link him with a Paul Simon sound.
I'll let this review and his music speak for itself...

Have a great weekend all!
Discover some new music!

Hello in there...

Hello?
Is anybody home?
 "are you talking to me?"
 Yeah, you, little one.
Whatcha doin'?
 "just waiting for my lunch"
 Oh yeah? What's for lunch?
"oh, probably a few flies, mosquito's, maybe a big fat bee if I'm lucky"
"me and my sister are hungry, I think my mom should be here any second"
 "Look! There she is now!"
 (crunch, crunch, crunch)
"mmm, nothing like fresh bugs on a summer day!"
 "Thanks mom! You're the best!"
"You always know how to put a smile on my face!"

P.S
(These are the violet green swallows that nest at my folks house every year.
They are literally a few feet from the house and as always,
they are a treat to observe.
I photographed them from a distance with my zoom lens as not to disturb them
even though they are quite use to the 'humans' now.)

Update...

I've been keeping my eyes on the young owls...I guess they're called owlets?
I've seen two of them but never together.
The other morning I found one sitting in  their favorite maple tree
so I snapped a few photos to show you all...
And what goes better with owls than that big full moon the other night?!
Maybe one night I'll catch them all together!

Norene's garden...

They say a persons garden reflects their personality and this is so
true of mosaic artist extraordinaire, friend, creative co-hort and all around
Lucy to my Ethel.
The other day I went for a visit and as usual there's always something new
going on down below the house.
But first there was something new by the entrance way...
Norene loves to create 'rooms' in her gardens and this is the latest, complete with lamp,
chandelier, framed pictures and 'carpets'...
There's always moss and chicken wire involved somewhere in the garden...
...a mirror propped on a hand made easel reflects the lushness of the season...
A neighbour made this bench out of an old bed frame...
...mason jar tea lights for when the sun goes down...
We built this arbour for her golden hops on a whim one day and it's blended in quite well...
The peonies are gorgeous right now and HUGE.
Each one of these is the size of a dinner plate when open!
 mosaic beauty in a birdbath...
Last winter Norene and Bill took down a few big trees in this space and this year the light
has been a bonus and the foxglove jungle is loving it!
Up top Norene discovered this bizarre and mutant foxglove flower..
I've never seen anything like it. It's like 3 flowers grew as one and it's the size of a large tulip flower!
 Crazy hey?
And as always, Norene is always creating something with her cache of dishes.
This is one of the latest fun projects she made for the garden...
Always a treat to visit!
