Tomorrow is a big day for Katie the goat.
She's going off to live in her home about an hours drive from here.
Hopefully all goes well and she's happy in her new environs.
Meanwhile we've been trying to keep her company as much as we can.
I think she's been fairly lonely what with the cold weather and snowy paths.
Before the snow got too deep, I took her out on a few walks.
She's really good on a lead and quite curious, all be it a bit nervous outside her 'safe-zone'.
So off we went down the drive and across the road...
As you can see, Griffin came AND Ruben too!
Katie made sure she kept her eye on Griff but was really eager to see what lay ahead...
I really hope she gets on well with her new family.
She's so sweet.
Maybe she'll become a good 'Auntie goat' for the younger ones.
We'll see what lies on the road ahead...wish her luck...

sad to see her go, glad she is going to otheer goats
Oh I sure will wish her the best....I never knew one could be so attached to a goat...now I know...
I'm sorry you need to let her go, but it's a very unselfish thing you're doing for her. Perhaps you could visit? :) I love those pics of her looking down the path into her future. I hope she's happy in her new home with new friends. The word.. or letters i'm supposed to type to make this post are 'noweep.' Quite appropos i think. Because, really, i could shed a few tears looking at her pictures...
There is something poignant in how your words and the pictures meshed... It felt like a children's book, one about letting go with love, one about hope down the road.
And I don't CARE if I am seeing more in this than just the sweet and simply story of an event in your life. Sometimes, in a complicated, often uncivil world, visiting your blog is like taking a deep, deep breath of what is REAL.
