Last night our harvest moon traveled just along the tree line
and lit up the sky until early this morning.
It was full a few days ago but apparently because of
the earth's tilt at this time of year, the moon will seem full for about 3 nights.
I'm up before the sun and after a mug of tea I take my camera
down to the lake with Griffin...
It's only us and the birds to witness the dawn...
It's a gift, precious.
To be in this landscape with my eyes, healthy and beholding such beauty
and stillness...
But the stillness is deceiving...the light slowly moves,
the sun begins her accent over the lake...
Dark, swimming shadows come forth from the depths...
(it's only Griffin though!)
And with the sun touching the water, the mist becomes
a paintbrush and a masterpiece is born...
So I believe the fall has officially come to lower herself upon us.
Embracing the seasons change with
chilly fingers, sweaters and boots, dusky mornings.
Good morning October...

Griff is one lucky dog to have you and we are all lucky readers to have you as well.
Beautiful, beautiful post.
IT is the first day isn't it? What a wonderful place you have to walk and use a camera in. I love all of these photos, but the ones on the water with the mist arising are felt with the heart, not just seen with the eye.
Is that a Kingfisher sitting on the ladder?
My favorite of all is the one at water level looking at the swimming platform and the ball in the foreground. There is something about that photo that feels like a painting. Beautiful!
Enjoy the Harvest moon again tonight.
Belissima!!!! Gorgeous shots! The glassy water ... The beautiful light- beautiful! I want to paint these places!
This is absolutely stunning scenery and you've picked the best part of the day to capture it.
Love your words too. Autumn is a wonderful time of year for photographers.
Hey Carol: Yup me and the Griffer are ever so lucky to share this with you all...cheers
Connie...Yes, that's a kingfisher...the only other being awake this time of day that I saw. The morning was truly magical; a painting indeed!
Ciao Bella Lucinda!Gracia! You should paint these...you would do them justice I'm sure!
Mairead:Early morning light is magic isn't it? The stillness lends to it well and comes through in pictures...cheers.
beautiful.
